In the LendingTree bowl, Frank Gore Jr had himself quite a game. The son of long time NFL great Frank Gore Sr, ran for. ridiculous 329 yards and touchdowns on 21 carries, good for a robust 15.7 yards per carry as his Southern Mississippi squad defeated Rice 38-24.
As the younger Gore and his teammates were basking the the glory of his accomplishment via a post game interview, his aunt tried to get in on the celebration but was gently, albeit assertively rebuffed by her nephew.
Some knuckle-draggers attempted to cast aspersions at the young brother for his actions but he was not in the wrong. Excitement aside, that was his moment and she needlessly inserted herself into the on camera proceedings and cyphoned the attention from her nephew and his teammates on to herself.
To those who were ruthlessly going after this young man, I’ll leave you with this question- if this were Lavar Ball who did this instead of this young lady, would you put on the cape with the same vigor for him as you did with her?
